To kick off the partnership, GIRL Skateboard Company worked with team rider and MTN DEW sponsored professional skateboarder Sean Malto to select his favorite artwork from Lahan’s archive. The items featured in the collaboration showcase DEW, Malto and GIRL’s unique bold styles, curated by Lahan’s artwork and focus on summer time, getting outdoors, and the “Let’s Do” ethos of DEW.
“I’m really excited to see this collaboration come to life at Dew Tour and beyond this summer,” comments Malto. “GIRL has been with me my entire skateboarding career, so it was really cool to have them partner with Dew. I know the fans will enjoy it as much as I do.”
Lahan, the artist and illustrator for the project, spends his time living and working between New York and San Francisco and is most known for his unique illustrations. He is connected with GIRL and their ART DUMP collective and has an impressive list of clienteles that includes The New York Times, Nike, Google, Facebook, VICE and more.
