MUSE TV & Culturally Obsessed were at the Pasadena Playhouse for the star-studded opening night of “Little Shop of Horrors”. This pop-culture sci-fi musical mainstay has some updated new twists along with a phenomenal cast. The show stars “Be More Chill” star George Salazar as Seymour opposite “Pose” star Mj Rodriguez as Audrey, with “Glee” actress Amber Riley as Audrey II, the plant. The cast also includes 3 time Tony Award nominee, Kevin Chamberlin as Mr. Mushnik and Broadway’s “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” cast member Matthew Wilkas as Orin Scrivello. Brittany Campbell, Tickwanya Jones, and Cheyenne Isabel Wells play The Ronnettes.

SYNOPSIS: Seymour, a mild-mannered clerk in a florist shop, discovers a mysterious plant that catapults him to botanical fame, with one slight drawback — the plant thrives on human blood. As he and the other characters struggle to satisfy the plant’s ever-increasing appetite, they sing the award-winning classic score, which includes “Suddenly Seymour,” “Somewhere That’s Green,” “Downtown,” and “Feed Me.”
