Eagles of Death Metal’s frontman, Jesse Hughes, performed this past week as Boots Electric in San Diego. Hughes performed along with Brent Bergholm on guitar, Eric Epple on drums, and Tony Saxon on bass and played a rocking live set at The Booze Brothers Brewing Company. Their set included EODM favorites including “Cherry Cola,” “I Want You So Hard,” and “Whorehoppin’,” as well as covers including James Brown’s “Try Me,” David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream,” and The BeeGee’s “To Love Somebody.”
Watch The Daydreams perform their full set below:
Hughes’ natural charisma and unmatchable electric stage presence hooked the crowd instantly. Bergholm had the crowd in awe with an insane guitar solo during “Moonage Daydream,” while Epple continuously provided a killer foundation on drums. Sometimes it takes a real Rock and Roller like Hughes to remind us that nothing will kill Rock and Roll. Hughes truly entertained the crowd and, more importantly, gave the audience a sense of hope and community.
Catch Hughes live this Saturday, May 1st, from 4 pm -11 pm at Landers Brew Co. in the High Desert of California to support the artists, musicians, local vendors, and the performing arts venue!
