Multi-platinum songwriter, producer, and recording artist, Cimo Frankel just released his self-titled album via Universal Music. The album features 14 tracks and encompasses Cimo’s journey through heartbreak, loss, and happier times. The album comes to us fresh off the heels of the recently dropped single “World is Waking Up”, which was delivered to us during a time of fear and uncertainty in the world. The single talks about us “waking up” as a society and being brought back to our core practices and values as a result of being shaken up. Also preceding the album was “Happier Before”, which was written purely out of emotion to express when a relationship is somewhere between “are we” or “are we not”. Last year, he released his first solo project, an EP titled Stay the Night, which he wrote, produced, and performed himself, along with visual concepts – all which will now be included in the album as well.
Culturally Obsessed & MUSE TV were delighted to invite Eagles of Death Metal’s frontman, Jesse Hughes to interview Cimo Frankel via Skype. Watch the interview below or listen to it via podcast here:

This album is special to me because it wasn’t written and produced in one place. I traveled the world during that time which makes it feel like an adventure. I had to open the album with a song I wrote and recorded with my father because he is one of the main reasons I am in music in the first place.
