Cimo Fränkel, a multi-platinum songwriter, producer, and recording artist just released his first self-titled album via Universal Music. The album features 14 tracks and encompasses Cimo’s journey through heartbreak, loss, and happier times. Click [here] to listen.

The album comes to us fresh off the heels of the recently dropped single “World is Waking Up”, which was delivered to us during a time of fear and uncertainty in the world amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The single talks about us “waking up” as a society and being brought back to our core practices and values as a result of being shaken up. People are being humbled. We are spending more time with family and less time with work. We are cherishing loved ones more since we have been reminded that the future is not always promised. Nature is self-preserving and coming back to life. In the digital age we live in, everyone has more access to information that helps educate and address problems in the world that were not brought to light in the past. We are no longer able to be silenced. This is the era where the main goal is to be “woke”, and Cimo portrays in this song that the world is, in fact, “waking up”.
Also preceding the album was “Happier Before”, which was written purely out of emotion to express when a relationship is somewhere between “are we” or “are we not”. Cimo finds himself comparing the present with the past while coming to terms with his past relationship. Cimo lays all his cards on the table with this album, bringing fans the most raw and vulnerable piece of work to date, and proves his promising trajectory remains unmatched throughout the highs, the lows, and in between.
Last year, he released his first solo project, an EP titled Stay the Night, which he wrote, produced, and performed himself, along with visual concepts – all which will now be included in the album as well.
